This bench was created from lumber previously used for a greenhouse the owner no longer needed. The frame was stained green, while the boards that once supported the planters were stained orange. I lightly charred the ends of each board and gave the bench a good sanding, just enough to smooth it out without removing the wood’s natural character. I intentionally left all the nail and staple holes visible and finished it with a coat of polyurethane. If you don’t already know, I love creating things from lumber that might otherwise be discarded. The bench measures 36" long by 15" deep by 17.5" high.

The bench measures 36 inches wide by 24 inches deep. The bench was made from lumber that was going to be discarded. I charred the lumber to enhance the wood's grain. I used a carbernet stain.
